Questions

What is 278labs?

278labs is a private, independent software studio run by Sapar Kurmanov. It makes a small number of focused apps and tools for iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, macOS and Linux, and keeps each one to a single job.

What does 278labs make?

PhotoDump Export (iCloud Photos to a drive you own), Agents Control (a Telegram remote for iTerm2, tmux and AI agents), AirExtend (a Mac's sound on every device over Wi-Fi), Kettle (Siri and Shortcuts for Redmond smart kettles), Remote by Hand (an Apple Watch and iPhone TV remote) and VideoDryer (on-device video compression for iPhone and iPad, coming to the App Store).

Is there a TV remote for Apple Watch that uses wrist gestures?

Yes, Remote by Hand by 278labs. On Apple Watch you lean your wrist to move around an Android TV or LG webOS screen, and every key is also a button on the watch and the iPhone. It also works with Siri. It is coming to the App Store.

Do 278labs apps need an account or the cloud?

No. The apps are local first: they work on your own devices and network, with no account and no cloud service, and the apps collect no data.

How do I contact 278labs?

Write to sapar@278labs.co.uk. Each app has its own page, support page and privacy policy on its own subdomain.

Is 278labs affiliated with Apple, Google, LG, Samsung or Roku?

No. 278labs is independent. Product and platform names belong to their owners.
